  A relaxing morning or afternoon of classic country pursuits allowing individuals to learn some new skills, develop friendships and have some fun. Qualified instructors and country sports practitioners lead easy to follow and fun training sessions in different pursuits. This is followed by a chance to compete with the other participants. Emphasis is placed on the competition being fun with trophies being presented to the winners.
  
  For larger parties country pursuits can include Human sheep herding which as far as we know is unique to Active8.

  This activity session offers a unique opportunity to learn some seriously impressive bush craft and survival skills. Specialist bush craft instructors lead a series of hands-on training sessions in the various skills, from friction fire lighting to trapping and food preparation. All the skills training and activities can take place in the Hotel grounds.

  This package offers guest the perfect introduction to the art of fly fishing. The session begins in the hotel grounds with casting tuition, and basic skills followed by the opportunity to visit a local fishery and catch some amazing fish. • Ghyll scrambling

  In Europe they call it Canyoning! If your still non the wiser how does sliding down waterfalls, jumping into plunge pools and tackling challenges such as the Washing Machine and Sheep Dip sound? Equipped with protective clothing, safety helmets and buoyancy aids you and your guide will descend a mountain torrent. The route looks impossible but with a bit of encouragement and a lot of laughs you’ll soon be addicted.
