  The Lake District is the ideal base to create the perfect group itinerary. Carlisle Castle and Hadrian's Wall are right on our doorstep and Keswick and Windermere are both a stones throw away. There are also many National Trust properties nearby as well as fantastic places of interest such as Wordsworth Cottage, Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the Honister Slate Mines.
   
  We are a 4 star hotel and strongly believe in keeping our 4 star standards for all our guests - so if you place your group with us you will be eating in the restaurant, your guest rooms will have all the amenities that every other guest is offered and there's a full and hearty breakfast on offer to make sure everyone leaves us in good spirits for the day ahead.
